Kilmartin House Museum is a complete gem and a must for every visitor to the area. The café also serves up delicious food - perfect after exploring the standing stones and ancient burial cairns of Kilmartin Glen.

Crear & the surrounding area is a child's paradise offering freedom that you can only dream off in the towns & cities today. You are walking distance to sandy beaches for buckets & spades, shell collecting & pebble throwing contests. There are acres to simply explore, build a den, play hide & seek, football ...If your wedding is during April & May, you may see a lamb being born. The Port Ban Holiday Park next door has slides & swings & ice-cream!

Many couples chose to have naming ceremonies following their Humanist marriages & its a wonderful way to celebrate & include all your wee family.

Wee Weddings for Walking Lovers

If you enjoy hiking, there are miles and miles to explore in every direction straight from the door where you will not see another human soul. There are tracks directly to the high tops of Ormsary & Loch Na Torren. On your way you can see the hills of Arran on your right & at the highest point, over to the Isle of Mull & Ben Lomond.

The Kintyre Way walking trail also starts in Tarbert, the pretty fishing village south of Crear.

Crear Weddings for Lovers of Surf & Sail

You are welcome to bring your kayake, windsurfer or canoe which you can launch directly from the Crear beach. For those looking to ride the waves, world famous surf at Machrihanish beach is just south of Crear.

Serious sailers may consider chartering a yatch for their honeymoon or for those less ambitious, there are wonderful boat trips out to the isles & through the Corryvrecken, the largest whirlpool in Europe.
