Crear space to create is an arts charity where literally hundreds of musicians have played. The lively acoustics create a perfect sound with little or no amplification. Crear has one of the best Steinway Model D's in the world as well as a Yamaha S6 which you are welcome to hire. Should you wish to hire our PA system, the money goes to our piano in peril to help keep the Steinway at Crear.
We have some of the very best fiddlers & pipers locally to play for your ceremony or evening entertainment. Archie McAllister is a world class fiddler, Iain Campbell is a fabulous piper & Graham Dickie is a wonderful pianist. For a real wow factor, go for the whole Mid-Argyll Pipe Band.
Crear Weddings are so relaxed you need a change in the tempo to get everyone focused at certain points in the day - the arrival of the bride, the signing of the marriage shedule, the end of the ceremony & leading the newly weds into their wedding breakfast.
Iain Campbell on pipes is a great way to guide your wedding guests to your ceremony come rain or shine. If its to play at the entrance to Crear, the door of the Church or to walk them down to the beach, it is a huge help in keeping everyone in the right direction. At the end of the ceremony he helps as if the Pied Piper, lead everyone exactly where you want them.
The Crear team vote on the best bands at the end of each wedding. We have hosted hundreds of fantastic weddings however what makes some extra special is a magic atmosphere where everyone is up on the dance floor until their toes hurt. We have listed below our top bands & we always suggest you have them play live till the end of the night.
Its your wedding & its important that you have professionals playing - don't be afraid to ask questions regarding how often the band rehearses & also if the musicians you book are the ones who will actually be playing on the night!
Alex & Lisa have embarked on a crazy adventure over several years to host a wedding ceremony all over the world to explore & celebrate wedding cultures in over 90 countries. We were delighted that their Scottish Wedding was held at Crear. It was the perfect winter wedding day with sunshine & snow flurries. David Caruthers, our local Minister from the Church of Scotland performed a traditional Scottish Wedding Blessing.
