Empire Travel Lodge in Lochgilphead

This is one of the Crear top favourites, offering 3 star accommodation with great customer service & breakfasts to set you up for the day! Designed by architect Alistair MacDonald, son of the then Prime Minister, it was built as a cinema for the 1938 Empire Exhibition, screening the first ever news reel in Glasgow. When the exhibition closed, the cinema was dismantled & rebuilt in Lochgilphead.
