Crear Space to Create Limited ( Crear) understands that your privacy is important to you and that you care how your personal data is used. . This privacy policy covers Crear’s treatment of personal information.  Please read the following to learn more about our privacy policy.

Definition of Personal Data

As defined by the General Data Protection Regulation ( GDPR) Personal Data is “any information relating to an identifiable person who can be directly or indirectly identified “ from the data. 

In simpler terms , it is any information that enables you to be identified . This includes obvious information such as name , address , contact details and so on.

The information that we use and where we get it from 

Crear collects and processes various types of personal information . This includes name , date of birth , address , email address , telephone numbers , food allergies , passport details etc. Most of this information – in many cases all of the information – will have been provided by you through your contacts with us in order to allow us to fulfil our contract with you .   Your contacts with us could be when you visit our websites and submit forms or in telephone conversations or in face to face meetings with Crear staff. Some of this information ( e.g. religion) may be in “ GDPR special categories “  but in these cases you will have given us that information so that we can provide a wedding service appropriate to your needs .

We may record information about you after your wedding ( for instance , birth of any children) but we will only do this if you actively inform us and give us consent and we will only use that information to send birthday best wishes. 

How we use your information 

Crear uses the information collected in order to provide you with the services and products that you have requested. We will be in regular contact with you to ensure that we have all the essential information necessary to ensure that we meet your requirements fully , efficiently and safely . 

We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need that information to do their job in providing the services and products that you require. 

We will not use your details for automated decision making or profiling.

Sharing your information

We keep your information confidential and will only share minimal information where necessary with service providers for your wedding or other event at Crear .  This could include sharing your name and contact details with , for instance, your selected florists, photographers , music bands or caterers . 

Crear will respond to any Court Order or legitimate request by authorities for personal information in connection with any legal proceedings .  

Crear will not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. Your details will not be used for any third party marketing purposes. 

Your rights

You have a number of legal rights to control what we do with your information. For instance , you can ask us to tell you what information we have about you.  You can correct or update information that is inaccurate or out of date . You can tell us to stop using information in certain circumstances . You can tell us not to send your data to someone else for them to use. You also have the right to ask us to delete or dispose of any of the personal data that we have regarding you.  Please note that in some situations this may impact our ability to provide you with the required service. You have the right to lodge complaints with the appropriate supervisory authority which, in the UK, is the Information Commissioner’s Office .                                  

How long we keep your information.

We will not keep your personal information for longer than we need to which is usually up to fifteen years after your event at Crear.  Debit / Credit card information is not retained at all after use.   After your wedding at Crear our use of your data is on an anonymised basis to allow us to gauge wedding trends to help improve our services.  We will only use your personal details to send you anniversary greetings etc . each year and we will refrain from sending greetings if requested.

Where your personal data is stored. 

In accordance with GDPR , we will normally only store your data within the European Economic Area  ( EEA comprises all EU member states , plus Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein) . This means your data will be fully protected under GDPR.

It may be necessary for us to store some of your personal data in countries that are not part of the EEA .  These are known as “third countries” ( such as USA , Canada) and may not have data protection laws that are as strong as those in the UK or EEA.  In this situation we will take additional steps to ensure your data is treated just as safely and securely as it would be in the UK / EEA.

We reserve the right to utilise third party suppliers/services to supplement our services. Changes to this Privacy Policy.

Crear may amend this policy from time to time. This may be necessary, for example, if the law changes or if we change our business in a way that impacts personal data. If we make any substantial changes in the way we use your personal information we will notify you by posting a prominent announcement on our pages.
