With an emphasis on comfort, warmth and understated luxury, Caisealrag Cottage is a fully equipped self-catering cottage, perfect for guests, or couples choosing to have a little more privacy.

Caisealrag Cottage sleeping up to eight, is included in both Jura and Islay weekend wedding packages.

The cottage is a short distance from Crear House and is entirely self-contained. Guests can either walk or drive back and forth.

Some couples chose to stay in the cottage to allow themselves a little more privacy, others use it as a base for one side of the family or as the space for the bride and all her attendants to get ready in peace or the groom and his best man and ushers.

Should the groom wish do the traditional thing and sleep elsewhere the night before, a pop up bed at the cottage is ideal.

Most guests staying in the cottage join the main party at Crear for meals, however it is fully equipped to self cater if required.

Warm And Cosy All Year

Caisealrag Cottage is wonderfully warm all year round thanks to our underfloor heating from a local hydro-electric source. We use 100% green energy.

The French enamel wood burning stove is not only beautiful but also makes Caisealrag Cottage extra cosy.

There's a plentiful supply of sustainably sourced logs from storm blown trees from the surrounding forests.

Whitewashed walls, warm stone floors and a wood burning stove await.

Inside The Cottage

We also have the essentials for wedding guests - an iron, ironing board and hairdryers are all supplied. If you need anything at all or have left anything behind, we would be happy to help where we can.

The original cottage has a large open-plan living space and sleeps one couple in a king size bed with en-suite bathroom. There is also a utility room with a dishwasher and washing machine.

As mobile coverage is patchy, a landline is also provided. We do have Wifi, but due to our remote location there isn't enough bandwidth to stream music or films. We also provide you with an iPod dock and TV.

Caisealrag Cottage is fully equipped for you or your guests to stay.

Caisealrag Cottage Kitchen

Should you wish to cook, there's a fully stocked kitchen with the basics: an electric hob, Miele single fan oven, microwave, fridges and freezer box, dishwasher, washing machine and ironing facilities.

Aside from breakfast, most guests staying join the main party at Crear House for meals.

King Size Double Plus Sofa Or Pop Up Beds

Cosy Caisealrag Cottage sleeps two in a king size double bed dressed in crisp, white linen sheets and a cosy feather free duvet.

The bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, with a deep double ended bath and a rain shower above.

The main cottage also has a double sofa bed or pop up beds can be provided.

With fluffy bath towels, hairdryers, washing and ironing facilities, everything you need is provided.

Cottage Annex Sleeps Four

The beautiful Siberian larch-clad annexe attached to Caisealrag Cottage can accommodate up to four guests.

The annexe next door to Caislealrag Cottage has a superking double and a twin guest bedroom, both with en-suite shower rooms.

Eight staying in total are permitted in the cottage, plus children aged under five.

We can offer two pop up beds for children and a travel cot for babies.

The Cottage Guest Annexe

The annexe is available exclusively for your family and friends. Please note, however, that it is entirely self-contained with a private entrance and may not be suitable for children under the age of 14 sleeping alone. We suggest bringing a baby monitor.
