THE HEART OF THE HOUSE

The Crear Studio sits at the heart of the house, with a spectacular 17-metre glass wall opening onto sweeping views of the Paps of Jura. Flooded with natural light, it feels as though the landscape itself is part of your celebration. It's a breathtaking backdrop in every season.

Secluded Luxury

At the heart of every Crear wedding is the joy of gathering your closest family and friends for a house party like no other. As an exclusive use wedding venue, Crear becomes your home from home. It's a place to celebrate, relax and make memories together.

From the moment you arrive, the views stretch endlessly across the Isles of Islay, Jura and Gigha, with distant lighthouses glimmering on the horizon. Inside, wood-panelled walls, warm slate floors and deep sofas by the open fire create a setting that is both stylish and inviting. Crisp white linens, supremely comfortable beds and thoughtful touches throughout ensure you and your guests feel completely at ease.

Secluded at the end of a private drive, Crear offers total privacy while remaining wonderfully welcoming. Our dedicated team are always nearby should you need us, quietly ensuring everything feels effortless, so you can simply enjoy the magic of being here together.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS

Crear House welcomes up to twelve guests in six individually designed bedrooms, each named after the islands that frame your view. Every room has its own en-suite bath or shower, with underfloor heating throughout to keep you comfortable in every season. Soft down duvets, feather pillows and crisp white linens ensure a restful night’s sleep, while generous supplies of fluffy towels and thoughtful touches are always close at hand.

Caisealrag Cottage, just a short stroll away, can host a further eight guests in three en-suite rooms and a sofa bed.

For families, we can provide pop-up beds for children under twelve and travel cots for babies, which can be set up in either the House or the Cottage. And with large hot water tanks in each bathroom, there’s no need to worry — even when everyone is getting ready at once.

 

Housekeeping is available on request, and two additional WCs plus a shower room ensure plenty of space for everyone.

SPACE TO COMMUNE

Gather around the great dining table, where up to twenty of your family and friends can share stories, laughter and unforgettable meals against a backdrop of sweeping island views. From here, you can watch the lighthouses of Rathlin Island and the distant shores of Islay, Jura and Gigha as you celebrate together.

 

Alongside your wedding feast, our team can provide delicious catering throughout your stay or, if you’d like to make it your own, you’ll also have a fully equipped guest kitchen at your disposal.

GUEST KITCHEN

The guest kitchen at Crear is designed to make self-catering simple and enjoyable. At its heart is a three-oven Lacanche range cooker, supported by a large fridge, double sinks, dishwasher and all the pots, pans and utensils you could need to cook for a crowd.

 

We’ve thought of the little things too, from tea towels and dish cloths to washing up liquid, dishwasher powder, salt and pepper so you can settle in and feel right at home.

CAISEALRAG COTTAGE 

Built in the 1880s, Caisealrag Cottage is a beautifully restored stone retreat that combines traditional character with understated luxury. Think of it as a smaller version of the Crear Weddings Venue itself as the perfect place to extend your party.

The original cottage sleeps two in a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom, while the adjoining annex adds two further en-suite bedrooms and a sofa bed, each with its own private entrance.

Please note that, as the annex is fully self-contained, it may not be suitable for younger children sleeping alone.

Fully equipped for self-catering, the cottage includes an electric hob, fan oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher and washing machine, along with a wood-burning stove and a plentiful supply of logs for cosy evenings. Towels, Wi-Fi, a TV and even a landline (for when mobile signal is patchy) ensure every comfort is taken care of.

For families, we can also provide two pop-up beds for children if needed.
