A WEDDING INPSIRED BY THE PAPS OF JURA AND SCOTTISH MOUNTAINS

We loved the whole day but there were a few highlights. Dragging our bridesmaids and groomsmen into the sea for a swim was a lot of fun and kickstarted the day. We loved the food, music by Jim Jam and craic and ceilidh-ing with our family and friends.
Also, Kain’s Dad dusted off his very old and rarely played bagpipes to pipe us into dinner!

We didn’t really have a theme but took inspiration from the surrounding landscape, mountains and coastline e.g. the cake, stationary and favours all had a Paps of Jura theme and our table names were Scottish mountain ranges.
We’re glad we did as it pissed it down all day so at least everyone could see what the views were supposed to look like! Most of our guests travelled from Ireland, the rest of Scotland and a few from London

The weather was much better the next day so we swam in the sea and then got dressed up again for wedding photos with a view (courtesy of legend Euan Robertson Photography)

We went to Islay and Jura for a few days to soak up the beaches and climb the Paps!
Then chilled out at a cosy cottage near Furnace.
