Crear is a purpose built conversion with an emphasis on comfort and warmth. With warm slate and solid oak floors, it's warm and cosy at any time of year. The house has the qualities of the Tardis - it can be small and intimate while expanding when required to accommodate your wedding guests.

The magical essence and central to your Crear Wedding is your houseparty of family and friends.

With exclusive use, Crear becomes your home from home for you and ten house guests with uninterrupted views to the Isles of Islay, Jura and Gigha and the lighthouses of Rathlin Island.

Where ever you look the emphasis at Crear is on comfort and warmth.

The Crear team are always only a phone call away for anything you require.

Enjoy the simplicity of wood pannelled walls and warm slate floors. Sink into the one of the deep sofas in front of the open fire.

Squashy sofas in the living room, an open fire, crisp white linen sheets on really comfy beds and a very special team of people looking after you, located within a rich prehistoric landscape, all help make Crear magical.

Crear is remote and secluded, yet intimate and welcoming. With a private drive half a mile long from the single track coastal road, you have total privacy.

THE CREAR STUDIO
SPACE TO CREATE IN THE HEART OF THE HOUSE

 

The Crear studio is in the heart of the house with panoramic views from the 60-foot glass wall to the Paps of Jura, bringing the outside in whatever the weather.

If you can imagine the studio space is larger than a tennis court with far reaching views to the Paps of Jura through a glass wall over twenty metres long.

WARM UNDERFLOOR HEATING

With underfloor heating over a solid oak floor, its always cosy and warm at any time of the year with the huge expanses of glass allowing the outside in, whatever the weather.

THE ORIGINAL 400 YEAR OLD CREAR HOUSE LIT WITH FAIRY LIGHTS

The original Crear House is attached to the studio and is a wonderfully romantic space for your marriage ceremony and photographs.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOMS

Crear House sleeps twelve in six individual rooms all named after the islands you look out to, all with en-suite bath or shower rooms.

Up to eight guests can be accommodated in three en-suite rooms plus a sofa bed in Caisealrag Cottage at Crear which is included exclusively in the Jura and Islay Weekend packages.

CREAR HOUSE SLEEPS TWELVE GUESTS

We can sleep twelve guests in Crear itself in six outstanding en-suite rooms which are all completely individual in their design. All the beds have super comfortable mattresses, with super soft down duvets & feather pillows.

In addition we can offer pop up beds for children under twelve years of age and travel cots for babies which can be used both at Crear House and Caisealrag Cottage.

CREAR HOUSE BATHROOMS

Each bath or shower room has its own large hot water storage tank, ensuring a plentiful supply when everyone is getting ready at once.

Underfloor heating is throughout the house, with the bathrooms programmed to be extra cosy.

We have an abundance of white fluffy bath sheets and towels, hairdryers and a supply of anything else that you may have left behind! Housekeeping is available at any time on request.

There are two additional WCs and a shower room.

SPACE TO COMMUNE

There's space for twenty people round the dining table, which has uninterrupted views to the Isles of Islay, Jura and Gigha and the lighthouses of Rathlin Island.

Aside from your amazing wedding meal, we can provide catering for all or part of your stay. You can also have your own fully equipped guest kitchen.

CREAR HOUSE GUEST KITCHEN

The guest kitchen at Crear is fully equipped to self cater with a three oven Lacanche range cooker, large fridge, double sinks, dishwasher and all the pots and pans you need.

We supply tea towels and dish cloths, washing up liquid and dishwasher powder, salt & pepper.

WEEKEND JURA AND ISLAY WEDDINGS INCLUDE CAISEALRAG COTTAGE 

Built in the 1880's, the traditional stone cottage has been sympathetically restored with an emphasis on comfort, warmth and understated luxury - it is in effect a mini version of Crear to extend your wedding party.

CAISEALRAG COTTAGE CAN SLEEP UP TO EIGHT

The original stone cottage sleeps two in a king size double bed with en-suite bathroom with two further guest bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms in the annex. We have two pop up beds for children if required. Please note that as the annex it is completely self contained with its own private entrance, it may not be suitable for children under the age of 14 sleeping alone.

Caisealrag Cottage is fully equipped to self cater stocked with the basics, with an electric hob, single fan oven, fridges and freezer. Towels are also provided. There is also a wood burning stove with plenty of logs, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, Wifi and ipod dock. As mobile coverage is patchy, a landline is also provided.

Crear Weddings offers you total privacy. You can walk straight on to rolling fields and open hills, or onto rugged coastal paths and sandy beaches.
